Pingu at the Wedding Party

Pingu helps Father deliver the mail and wakes up a penguin to fetch a parcel. He is puzzled when he ends up receiving the parcel himself rather than delivering it. This odd start kicks off the morning's mail mischief.

A neighbour claims the parcel is for her, leading Pingu to grab it and pass it to the other neighbour who is delighted. The first neighbour becomes furious and slams the door, shouting about the missing mail. The tension over small-town mail adds humor to the morning.

Father hands the other neighbour more mail, an envelope that turns out to be a wedding invitation. Pingu curiously asks about it, and Father shows him a similar envelope that foreshadows the announcement. The family starts to anticipate an upcoming wedding.

Mother opens the envelope and a photo drops out, revealing that a black penguin will wed a green penguin. Father shows Pingu and Pinga a wedding album to explain the couple’s history. The news brings a mix of curiosity and excitement to the household.

Mother and Father decide to get a present and demonstrate a remotely operated Roomba. Pingu is fascinated by the remote and the idea of a robotic cleaner. They leave Pingu and Pinga at home to go shopping, even mentioning they need a new hat.

Back at home, Pingu touches the Roomba’s control stick and the parcel lifts off like a helicopter as he pushes the stick forward. Pinga watches, and the flight ends with a dent in the box that worries him. Grandfather is nearby, quietly preparing to fix things later.

Grandfather notices the dent and hides it from the parents’ view, tucking the damaged box away. He resolves the issue to avoid trouble and buys time for the family. Pingu grows anxious about whether the mishap will be discovered.

On the wedding day, Grandfather slides down a snowy hill on skis and breaks his leg. The family rushes to the hospital where his leg is placed in a cast and he must be in a wheelchair for the ceremony. The celebration has to proceed with this new constraint.

Robby, the wedding photographer, is present and polishes a camera on a tripod. He taps the camera, causing the tripod to collapse, which makes Pingu laugh at the clumsy moment. Guests begin to mingle as preparations continue.

Pingu is introduced to Pingj, the green penguin's son, who greets him with playful but rough manners. Pingj slaps Pingu on the back and shakes his hand in a cheeky way, signaling the start of an unlikely friendship. Pingu is curious about this new companion.

As the ceremony approaches, an egg hatches and the mother in attendance coos over the newborn chick. The happy interruption shifts attention to the growing family. Meanwhile, Pingj and Pingu sneak a peek at the wedding cake.

Pingj and Pingu nibble at the cake, and Pingu tries to patch up the small damage. The groom's tie slips over his eyes and he crashes into an ice block, ending up beside the bride. The Roomba goes haywire, sucking up the bouquet and spinning until Pingj repairs it; the bouquet is recovered.

Robby takes photographs of the wedding party as the couple leave on a sledge. Pingj asks to join Pingu’s family, and Pinga initially resists, leading to a playful tug-of-war over Pingj’s fate. The trio heads home together as the sun sets, hinting at a new friendship and future visits.
