Phone Bhoot

Major and Gullu, two unemployed young men, dream of becoming exorcists. They spend time praying to their close friend Raaka, a sentient statue, hoping for a break from poverty. They decide to host a ghost Halloween party to test their calling.

At midnight, Raaka's glowing eyes shut down. While trying to repair it, Major and Gullu are electrocuted and transported into the realm of the dead. There they meet Ragini, a benevolent ghost who offers to help them in exchange for a favor.

Ragini explains the terms: she will assist them in earning moksha for depraved souls by exposing the criminals who wronged them in life. In return, she will help Major and Gullu earn money and advance their exorcist dream. The deal binds them to Ragini's cause beyond the mortal world.

Inspired by Ragini, Major and Gullu return to the living world and start a ghost-catching venture called Phone Bhoot. Ragini uses her powers to support their business and attract clients. The company gradually gains traction and starts to stand out in the city.

As Phone Bhoot grows, Atmaram, a malevolent tantric, becomes jealous and schemes to destroy them. Ragini thwarts his efforts, keeping the fledgling business alive and her own plans intact. The rivalry intensifies as the two sides clash.

In a startling twist, Atmaram learns that Ragini is the deceased lover of the late king Raja Dushyant Singh. The car crash that killed Dushyant and Ragini was orchestrated by Atmaram to end the king's reign. The revelation darkens Ragini's image and deepens the conflict.

During a lunar eclipse when Ragini's powers are weakest, Atmaram captures her in a bottle. Major and Gullu realize Ragini's vulnerability and fear for her fate. The balance of power shifts as Ragini's freedom hangs in the balance.

Major and Gullu feel deceived, realizing Ragini may have manipulated them to pursue revenge on Atmaram. They question Ragini's motives and their own mission, teetering between loyalty and disillusionment. The trust that held their alliance together begins to crack.

In Atmaram's treacherous stash, Dushyant's soul is held captive among a treasury of magic bottles. This revelation raises the stakes for Major and Gullu, connecting Ragini's past to the present threat. The path to liberation requires confronting Atmaram directly.

A benevolent ghost, previously aided by Ragini, appears and warns that Ragini is in dire trouble. The ghost urges Major and Gullu to help free many souls from Atmaram, including Dushyant's, aligning their fate with Ragini's. The alliance between the living and spirits deepens.

Major and Gullu have a change of heart and decide to confront Atmaram. They are joined by Raaka, who returns newly animated to aid the fight. Together, they rally the spirits Ragini has saved to stand against Atmaram.

In a climactic battle, Atmaram is defeated and hurled into the underworld's hellfire. Dushyant is freed from captivity, and Ragini reunites with him in their metaphysical form. Major and Gullu witness the restoration of balance, aided by Ragini's enduring partnership.

The film closes with Ragini and Dushyant together in a spectral reunion, promising to help Major and Gullu whenever needed. Their unlikely alliance hints at future adventures and a possible sequel. The living exorcists remain ready, their bond with the spirits now unbreakable.
