Pepe, a ranch hand, watches a drunken Hollywood director buy his boss’s prized white stallion. Seeing the horse as family, he journeys to Los Angeles to reclaim it, where he encounters stars such as Jimmy Durante, Frank Sinatra, Zsa Zsa Gabor, Bing Crosby, Maurice Chevalier and Jack Lemmon dressed as Daphne from Some Like It Hot. Amazed by automatic swinging doors and other new American marvels, he finally confronts the buyer and, in the closing scene, returns to the ranch with the recovered stallion and a herd of foals.
