Their list mentions “skis” at first, but a quick read of the day’s news reveals a sighting of a Yeti in Lapland and a surprisingly large reward—one million marks—offered by radio host Karvajärvi for its capture. Believing Justiina wants them to track the creature, they stock up on ski gear. Back at home, they discover the list actually said “scissors,” yet Justiina remains eager to begin the hunt.

The trio heads north to Lapland to seek the mysterious Yeti, with Pekka and Pätkä convinced that Justiina can act as effective bait. On the train, they meet Timo Vaske, Olavi Virta, and Katriina Sirkkunen, Anneli Sauli. Timo is the identical twin of Kalevi Vaske, a character from the previous film, which sparks a bit of confusion for Pekka as they navigate the unfamiliar dynamics.
