In a quiet village, Seenu is seen as a hopeless slacker by the public. Seeta, a native who returns as a schoolteacher, rekindles old memories and catches Seenu's eye. He immediately falls for her, igniting his single-minded pursuit.

Seenu attempts playful tricks to win Seeta's affection, but they backfire humorously. After a string of rejections, he directly proclaims his love for her. Seeta reveals the qualities and standards she wants in a partner.

Seeta's criteria shocks Seenu: a man must be upright, altruistic, and respected—even if not wealthy. He realizes that love demands more than charm, and he resolves to become the kind of person she wants. He decides to strive for social standing and leadership.

To break Seenu, Lingaraju introduces his son Rajesh to Seeta, attempting to demoralize Seenu and sow discord. Seeta's engagement with Rajesh complicates Seenu's plan. Still, Seenu remains steadfast in his pursuit.

Seenu secures a victory, and the town witnesses the fall of Lingaraju's domain. The people celebrate their hard-won change and the integrity of Seenu's leadership is recognized. Seeta, moved by Seenu's sacrifice, finally appreciates him.

The film closes with the marriage of Seenu and Seeta. The village looks forward to a brighter, more just future under their leadership. The couple's union symbolizes the harmony between reform and love.
