Pahuna: The Little Visitors

In a remote village in Nepal, gunshots ring out, creating immediate fear among the villagers. The chaos leads many to flee the area in a desperate attempt to find safety from the unknown assailants.

Amidst the panic, Manju Chhetri's husband bravely volunteers to distract the rebels, demonstrating his love and commitment to his family and community. His selfless act encourages others to escape while he confronts danger head-on.

Driven by worry for her husband's safety, Manju decides to return to the village, torn between her maternal instincts and the chaos surrounding her. After entrusting her three children to the villagers, she sets off into the frantic atmosphere of the village.

The frightened villagers embark on a treacherous trek across the hilly terrain, seeking refuge from their pursuers. Their journey is filled with uncertainty as they navigate the challenging environment, struggling to keep their spirits high.

While dining, Pranay and Amrita are told stories by Rai Budo, who attempts to lighten the mood by weaving tales of the Yeti. Although his intentions are good, the children's misunderstanding of the stories leads to further fear and anxiety about their situation.

Later that night, discussions among the adults turn grim as Rai Budo shares unsettling tales about Christians, warning the children about potential harm. Pranay overhears this and feels the weight of protecting his sister Amrita and their baby brother Bishal.

Worried for their safety, Pranay and Amrita decide to escape with their baby brother Bishal. They find refuge in an abandoned bus, relieved to discover enough supplies to last them for several days, providing a temporary sense of security.

The following morning, Pranay spots a Christian priest wandering nearby, recognizing him from a previous encounter. This frightening sight adds to their uncertainty, as previous stories have painted the priest in a sinister light.

As time passes, Pranay befriends an elderly man while tending to his goats. This developing friendship becomes a lifeline, as the old man generously shares milk with him, providing nourishment and a glimmer of hope amid hardship.

Amrita lends a helping hand to a pregnant woman in labor, creating a bond amidst the chaos. However, when the woman panics and rushes into the jungle after realizing Bishal is missing, it intensifies the urgency of their situation.

Upon returning, Pranay learns from a driver that their brother has been taken to the church by the priest. This shocking news compels them to devise a courageous plan to rescue Bishal from the ominous clutches of the priest.

Arriving at the church, Pranay and Amrita confront the priest with palpable fear. Their pleas for Bishal's return fall on tense silence until the priest unexpectedly leaves, leaving them confused about his intentions.

Just as they prepare to take action, the door swings open to reveal their mother, bringing waves of relief. The siblings recount their traumatic experiences, and she reassures them that the priest poses no threat to their safety.

After their harrowing experiences, Manju leads her children to their father, who is recovering from his injuries. The reunion amidst the chaos brings a moment of solace, and they join the villagers who have gathered for support.

As the dust begins to settle, the villagers, once filled with fear and distrust, start to find common ground. This prevailing sense of reconciliation hints at a future where the community can heal and unite after the traumatic ordeal.
