Fernando encounters Alexis, a charming young gay man, at a party thrown by an old friend, and he finds himself instantly attracted to him. Their budding relationship is marked not only by physical intimacy but also by engaging conversations, where Fernando reminisces about the idyllic past of the city he left behind, while Alexis shares the harsh realities of life filled with robbery, violence, and shootings. Though Fernando has returned home with the intention to die, his cynical outlook on life becomes softened through his connection with Alexis.

As their relationship deepens, Fernando uncovers a shocking truth—Alexis is entangled in gang activities and works as a hitman, making him a target for rival gangs. Despite several close assassination attempts that highlight Alexis’ adept skills with his Beretta, tragedy eventually strikes when he is killed by two youths on a motorcycle. This tragic turn of events is partially attributed to Fernando’s own struggles, as he inadvertently led to the loss of Alexis’ weapon amidst his suicidal thoughts.

In the wake of Alexis’ death, Fernando pays a visit to his mother, providing her with some financial support. As he wanders the streets in a daze, he encounters Wilmar (Juan David Restrepo), a young man who bears an uncanny resemblance to Alexis—not just in appearance but in demeanor as well. This resemblance stirs feelings within Fernando, and he invites Wilmar to lunch, which soon blossoms into a new affair that echoes his previous relationship with Alexis.

However, the situation takes a dark turn when Fernando learns that Wilmar is also involved in violence, and the devastating revelation strikes him hard: it was Wilmar who shot Alexis. In a whirlwind of anger and sorrow, he vows to seek revenge, only to discover that it was Alexis who instigated the violence by killing Wilmar’s brother, thus fueling a cycle of vengeance.

As Wilmar prepares to bid farewell to his mother before they escape the turmoil together, he too meets a tragic fate. Witnessing yet another senseless death in the brutal environment of Medellín, Fernando is left grappling with despair. The final scene suggests a grim conclusion, hinting that Fernando may have succumbed to his own despair, potentially sealing his fate in a cycle of relentless atrocities.
