One Night in Supermarket

Li Junwei and Tang Xiaolian work the late-night shift at Wang Wang Supermarket. He Sanshui arrives demanding to speak to the owner, but Wang Sufen is not in; a mistaken lottery number entry has already set him on edge. The tension hints at a chaotic night to come.

He Sanshui returns with Tire, a stun gun, and a burning resolve to recover his ¥9500. He and Tire rope staff into the back room and seize control of the registers, diverting profits for themselves. The store becomes a makeshift fortress as the criminals run the operation from behind the counter.

Zhu Liao bursts in wearing pantyhose and wielding a knife, filming a prank while causing chaos. He Sanshui quickly tasers him, removing the immediate threat and reasserting control. The back room is fully occupied by criminals as the night deepens.

With the back room secured, the robbers force everyone to stay behind the counter and begin siphoning profits into their pockets. Tire gorges on snacks and Karaoke, while Li is pulled back into service and nicknamed 'Little Steel Teeth' for his braces. The store’s operation becomes a precarious balance between fear and profit.

Wang Sufen returns from Mahjong with bad luck and immediately attacks He Sanshui with a bag of weights. Tire tasers her into submission, stabilizing the immediate threat. The hostage situation continues in a fragile stalemate.

To salvage the business, He Sanshui slashes prices by 50% across the store. Sales spike as customers flood in, aided by a taxi driver who spreads the discount news to his colleagues. The cash flow becomes more promising as the ¥9500 goal looms closer.

Tang discovers voyeuristic photos of herself on Li's phone, revealing his attraction to her. The discovery adds a personal complication to the crisis, as Li's allegiance and feelings surface under stress. The dynamic between li and Tang shifts amid the chaos.

A Guanzhong-dialect gunman arrives to retrieve a diamond his partner left in the freezer ice. He takes staff hostage and forces them to strip while searching for the diamond. Yaozi, the delivery man, bursts from the warehouse, disrupting the standoff.

The diamond is found during the scramble, and Wang Wang the dog bolts outside with it, drawing the gunman’s attention. Realizing police surround the store, the gunman drags Tang back inside and holds her at gunpoint. The tension peaks as help closes in.

Li saves Tang from the gunman but is shot in the process. The attacker is accidentally electrocuted by a loose wire, ending the immediate danger. The night ends with Li wounded and Tang shaken, yet alive.

Police return to assess the aftermath and find Li no longer wears braces or glasses, and is dating Tang. He Sanshui and Wang Sufen are off honeymooning in Hainan, while Zhu becomes a rising actor and Tire his agent. The night closes with a strange mix of romance, fame, and changed fortunes.
