After the events of the first film, Hutch Mansell continues to navigate a dangerous life as an assassin for The Barber, taking assignments to settle the debt he owes after destroying a Russian obshchak. The work weighs on him, and his relationship with his family, especially his wife Becca, has grown distant. Exhausted from his latest job, Hutch asks The Barber for a break—something that would let him reconnect with his loved ones. The Barber, practical and wary, agrees but drops a blunt warning: Wherever you go, there you are—a reminder that trouble tends to follow Hutch no matter the distance he tries to put between himself and his past.

To mend what’s broken, Hutch plans a family trip to Plummerville, a place that carries a nostalgic glow from his childhood. He promises Becca that this time he will leave his life as Nobody behind for the vacation, hoping to create memories that are simple and safe. The trip begins with a mix of hopeful intention and fragile calm, a chance to reset the clock and press pause on a life that has always operated in the margins of danger.

Yet the outing encounters immediate turbulence. While at an arcade, Brady, Hutch’s teenage son, gets into trouble when Max—a local teen—destroys a plush toy meant for Brady’s younger sister, Sammy. The incident spirals quickly, culminating in the entire family being tossed out of the park. The trouble intensifies when an employee slaps Sammy on the back of the head, an act Hutch tries to ignore at first, but he cannot, and he ends up beating the staff. The confrontation draws the attention and ire of Wyatt, Max’s father and the park’s owner, as well as Abel, a corrupt sheriff who seems to be pulling strings behind the scenes. Wyatt wants the Mansells to leave the park, while Abel quietly repurposes his influence to ensure the family’s removal is not enough to stop the trouble.

The next day, the danger escalates dramatically. Hutch is ambushed by Abel’s men while on a boat, losing part of his pinky finger in the attack. The violence is a stark reminder of the life he’s trying to escape, yet it also reveals the larger web of forces at play: Hutch learns from his brother Harry that Plummerville functions as a bootlegging route, and The Barber confirms that the route is controlled by Lendina, the figure Abel works for who is pressing Wyatt to keep paying. Wyatt, pressured by Lendina, contemplates quitting after the latest payment. But Abel responds with coercion: Max is kidnapped to compel Wyatt’s compliance. He resolves to rescue the boy, even if it means shaking the bootlegging operation loose. From there, the plan shifts to a pivot of loyalty and protection. Hutch and Max retreat to an old lodge, where Brady and Max begin to repair some of the hurt between them. Becca, while still furious with Hutch for failing to keep his promise and protect their family’s fragile peace, makes it clear that she won’t be leaving. Her steadfast support anchors Hutch as he and Wyatt reconcile and prepare the amusement park for Lendina’s arrival, drawing in help from their brother Harry and their father David. The confrontations intensify as Lendina’s reach extends into every corner of their world.

The fight culminates in a violent set of clashes. Abel is executed at Lendina’s command simply for being a nuisance, and Hutch and Wyatt push back against the surge of her men. Harry takes care of several of the henchmen at the lodge, Wyatt is wounded in the leg, and David is knocked unconscious in the melee. In the park itself, Lendina launches an assault on Hutch, but Becca intercepts with a decisive act—she tranquilizes Lendina with a precise shot to the eye, a turning point that allows Hutch to gain the upper hand. David, recovering just in time, detonates a final gambit to blow up the park, a calculated blow that eliminates Lendina and the remaining threats.

In the aftermath, Hutch and Becca find themselves in a vulnerable moment as they are interrogated in an unmarked hangar. An anonymous source ultimately releases them, hinting at the ongoing mysteries and networks that still tie their lives to larger forces. The family ends their ordeal on a contemplative note, watching a visual album of their vacation—a keepsake of a trip that tested every limit they possessed but ultimately reaffirmed their bond.

Throughout the ordeal, the film threads themes of kinship, responsibility, and the constant friction between a dangerous past and a fragile present.
