In Berlin’s Mitte district a young couple navigates the strain of new parenthood. The man, a writer, reclines on the sofa reading while his partner grows restless. In the afternoon the grandparents arrive to meet the baby. She steps out that evening, leaving him waiting, and later returns accompanied by an unexpected companion.
