In the climax of Night Teeth, the fight erupts at Victor’s house after Benny, now a vampire, and Blaire turn against Victor and his henchmen. Benny, having been transformed into a vampire in order to survive, triggers a trap by placing a stone on a car’s accelerator pedal and smashing the vehicle into Victor’s house. This causes the sunlight to seep in through the broken windows, which instantly burns Zoe and kills Victor, who is pushed into the sunlight by Jay, ending his reign of terror. During the chaos, Zoe is injured but saved by Benny, and Blaire, in a heroic act, makes Benny drink her blood to save his life, which finally turns him into a vampire. Although both Jay and Benny survive Victor’s attack, it comes at a great cost, as Benny is now part of the vampire world.

After Victor’s death, the power balance among vampires is shattered, ending the truce that kept peace between vampires and humans. Jay foresees an impending war and decides to join the Night Legions, a vampire faction, indicating that the conflict between the species is about to escalate.
