A short film created by director Douglas Sirk near the end of his career, made with one of his students. It adapts an Arthur Schnitzler piece and stars Hanna Schygulla. On a New Year’s Eve after the family dinner, she stands at a window while a young man entertains her, speaking of the woman he loves but who cannot be with them at that moment.
