As Akuto fuels their ambitions, the newcomers discover alternate universes and forge an empire that floats above the Earth—the Heavens. Their mastery of Akuto allows them to extend their reach across dimensions, establishing dominion in the skies.

Abundance becomes a vice as the Heavens' leaders grow greedy and reckless. Their unchecked control over Akuto distorts judgment and splinters their fragile unity, sowing discord among the once-cohesive realms.

In a bold counterstrike, humans cut the Akuto link to Earth, severing the supply line that powers both sides. The Heavens retreat into a parallel dimension to block Akuto's flow, and the severed pillars between worlds ignite a cataclysmic clash that becomes known as the Calamitous Day.

To prevent a repeat of Calamitous Day, a guardian is entrusted with safeguarding the remaining connection between dimensions. The appointed keeper must ensure the boundary remains closed while maintaining the possibility of careful contact if ever needed.

Centuries drift by as Akuto becomes scarce, leaving the Heavens fragmented and unstable. Floating isles drift apart, and rival kingdoms blame each other for the imbalance, each desperate for a new source of power.
