When two burglars force their way into the home of an eccentric physician, he subdues them and proposes a bizarre bargain: instead of punishment, he will pay them a thousand dollars if they retrieve the corpse of a man he claims died of “water on the brain” from a nearby cemetery. The thieves must decide whether to accept the odd offer.
