A Middle-Class Life in Delhi

Aman and Divya are a married couple living a middle-class life in Delhi, with Aman working at a real estate company and Divya at a media company. Aman is fed up with being middle-class and longs to become rich and live in luxury. To chase quick money, he often cheats his own company.

Borrowed Money and a Booked Plot

In one of his side deals, Aman borrows money from Raghuveer. He invests the borrowed money to book a plot of land, intending to build a home there for himself and Divya. The deal soon becomes the root of all his troubles.

Sacked from the Job

Aman's boss at the real estate company finds out that he has been cheating the firm. As a consequence, he sacks Aman from his job. Aman decides to keep this loss of employment a secret from Divya.

The Hong Kong Opportunity

Divya attends a party held by her media company. There, she is told that she is part of the group set to go to Hong Kong. The news presents her with a promising professional opportunity.

An Unwanted Pregnancy

Divya discovers that she is pregnant and calls her friend, Diksha, to talk about it. She tells Diksha that Aman will make her keep the baby, something she does not want at all. She therefore decides to get an abortion in secret.

When Aman fails to return the borrowed money on the promised date, Raghuveer threatens him. Raghuveer's goons beat Aman up over the unpaid debt. He is then given two more days to arrange the money.

Divya spots Aman at the hospital when she goes there after her abortion. Seeing him in that condition, she finds out about the beating and the money trouble he is in. Her husband's secret situation is finally clear to her.

The Insurance Dead End

Trying to raise the cash he owes, Aman attempts to borrow money against his life insurance policy. The insurance company refuses him. With no legitimate way out left, Aman decides to fake his own death so that Divya could claim the insurance money.

Divya is against the plan, but she gets sucked into it when Aman goes ahead and executes it. He stages a car accident and escapes while the police find a charred body in his car. Divya then identifies the burnt body as her husband's.

Aman goes into hiding at a remote hill station, waiting for things to calm down. Back in Delhi, Divya assures Raghuveer that his money will be returned to him. She is left to manage the debt and the insurance claim on her own.

While Divya is at the police station getting the final paperwork done, she learns a horrifying truth. Aman did not use a dead body from a mortuary to fake the accident; he actually murdered someone. She asks Aman if it is true, but he refuses to admit it, even though he grows increasingly nervous about how things are unfolding.

The Deadly Homecoming

Nervous about how things are unfolding, Aman decides to travel back home. While purchasing a ticket, he gets into a roadside quarrel with a lady who takes him to the police, but he manages to escape. On reaching his house, Aman discovers that Divya has been having an affair with her boss and that the aborted baby was not his. Enraged by the betrayal, he kills her boss and walks away, but Divya kills him too.
