Meyaadha Maan

Murali, also known by friends as Idhayam Murali, rings his friends Vinoth and Kishore to tell them he plans to end his life, overwhelmed by a one-sided love for Madhu. He feels outraged when Madhu speaks about him, which she does reluctantly, and Murali comes to believe she is ill-mannered. Yet his admission of loving her moves Madhu, and the engagement is postponed by a year.

One year later, life moves on and Kishore invites Vinoth and Murali to his wedding. [Vinoth] is injured in an accident, so Murali attends the ceremony and also performs with his music crew, Meyadha Maan. Murali and Madhu clash over a room allotment, and Murali walks out of the wedding after realizing that both Vinoth and Kishore are determined to ensure he does not torture Madhu during the marriage. Madhu is pained to hear that Murali still does not know about the drama on that suicide night.

Meanwhile, Sudarvizhi, Murali’s sister, learns about her brother’s one-sided love for Madhu and falls for Vinoth. She creates a rift with Vinoth, who refuses to see her anything more than a sister. Murali learns that Sudarvizhi is in love with Vinoth and happily assures her that he will help marry them. Vinoth remains unaware of Sudarvizhi’s feelings, and he interprets her quarrel as a result of trauma from illness.

One day, Vinoth meets Madhu and thanks her for her noble gesture. Madhu suddenly falls unconscious. Vinoth admits her to a hospital and rushes to fetch money for her treatment. Murali grows suspicious that Vinoth has fallen in love with someone and follows him to the hospital. He becomes upset when he sees his friend aiding the treatment of Madhu, whom he believes is his sworn enemy. Subsequently, Murali learns about the drama Vinoth staged and lashes out at him, only to realize that Madhu is not ill-mannered and is not beyond reach.

A few days later, Murali finds Madhu unconscious and brings her home safely. The two bury the past and develop a budding friendship, which enrages Madhu’s father. Madhu’s brother invites Murali to a family function to test him, and Murali accepts. Madhu visits Murali’s house the next day to challenge him for accepting the veiled invitation, but she bonds easily with Sudarvizhi and enjoys her time there. Suddenly, Vinoth brings a marriage alliance for Sudarvizhi. Murali rejects the alliance, stating that he plans to marry Sudarvizhi to Vinoth.

Madhu persuades Murali to talk with Vinoth and suggests a plan to unite Vinoth and Sudarvizhi. The plan succeeds, and Vinoth reciprocates Sudarvizhi’s love. Madhu then reveals that she is in love with Murali. Madhu’s father discovers them together and accelerates Madhu’s arranged marriage to a different groom. Murali and Madhu plot to stop the marriage by having premarital intercourse, but their plan falters in the middle and they part ways. Madhu prepares for her wedding, while Murali vows to secure Sudarvizhi’s marriage first. After a series of twists, Vinoth marries Sudarvizhi, and Madhu reveals that she became pregnant by Murali through the earlier plan. Madhu later attempts suicide as Murali refuses to marry her. As the credits roll, Murali and Madhu sign the marriage papers in the registry office, and the movie ends with Murali singing on stage while Madhu records his performance.
