He secures a job as a security officer for Manila Armored Couriers and becomes entangled in a criminal scheme led by his partner Ong. He struggles with loyalty to his family, guilt over past failures to stand up for a friend, and the lure of quick money in a city that preys on the vulnerable. The narrative follows his perspective as events unfold, culminating in a fatal confrontation.

Mai is a pregnant woman who lands a job as a nightclub hostess in Makati. During a mandatory checkup she learns she is pregnant, and her boss proposes to have her nine-year-old child Angel work for 'special clients'. She and Oscar navigate the perilous choices in a city dominated by exploitation and corruption, ultimately seeking a way to protect her family by leaving the city.

Ong is Oscar's partner and a veteran guard who lost his previous partner in a failed robbery. He is the architect of the scheme to retrieve a security box, using Oscar to help move and unlock it. His manipulation and ruthless ambition drive the plot forward, and he is killed when rivals turn on him.

Alfred Santos was a former silk factory worker who was forced into armed robbery after his father and family's silk business were crushed by a rival company. He perished after jumping off a plane with his loot, leaving behind a tale of guilt and sacrifice that haunts Oscar.

JJ is Oscar's new partner at Manila Armored Couriers, stepping in after Ong's death. He participates in the tense dynamics of the operation, delivering Oscar's personal effects to Mai and becoming part of the plan's execution. His actions reflect the precarious line between duty and temptation.

Dora is Ong's widow who receives his severance pay and personal effects after his death. She becomes aware that her husband had knowledge of the security box, prompting suspicion. After discovering a clay imprint of the key in a locket, she duplicates the key and decides to flee the city with her children.

Angel is Mai's nine-year-old child who becomes a focal point of the plot, highlighting the threat of exploitation in the city. The child’s innocence contrasts with the adults' desperation and the harsh choices their family must make.
