Devastated by the press conference, Young-woo visits Jae-ha's house while he and Hee-won sleep, seeking reassurance that never comes. His visit unsettles the already fragile balance between the lovers and complicates the household.

The following day, Hee-won discovers another presence in the house and one of her sculptures is knocked to the ground, signaling that someone’s secret is at risk of exposure. The discovery increases the stakes for everyone involved.

Young-woo arrives late to the first performance, and during the act his lines imply he hurt Hee-won, provoking Jae-ha's fury. He then asks Jae-ha to kiss him, and when Jae-ha complies, Young-woo whispers that the kiss was not in the script. This blurs lines between performance and reality.

In the final scene of the play, Young-woo acts out his character's suicide without using the safety mechanism, and Jae-ha sustains him onstage. Afterward Young-woo tells him he is the perfect Singer while Jae-ha is merely a mediocre Walter. Realizing they cannot be together offstage, Young-woo abandons the prop finger in the studio, signaling the end of their dream.

Despite their confession of love, Jae-ha chooses to leave the theater with Hee-won, the only person willing to accept him and his flaws. The duo's separation seals their inability to reconcile their relationship with their professional lives.
