Mere Dad Ki Maruti

In Chandigarh at Khullar House, Tej Khullar buys a brand-new Maruti Ertiga as a wedding gift for his daughter Tanvi and her fiancé Raj. The car's arrival signals prestige and sets a central plot device for Sameer's misadventures. The gift foreshadows the conflict over responsibility and loyalty in the family.

Sameer secretly borrows the Ertiga to impress Jasleen, the hottest girl in college, by taking her out at night at 10 PM. He hopes the car will help him win her attention and perhaps a date. The night ends with a flashy ride and a dangerous gamble with consequences.

After dropping Jasleen off, Sameer realizes the car is missing because he handed the keys to a supposed valet to impress his date. The valet drives away and is later stopped by a cop, who suspects him of wrongdoing and abandons the car on a roadside. The loss triggers panic and a frantic search.

Sameer and his best friend Gattu spend the night scouring Chandigarh for the missing Ertiga, checking if it was towed or stolen. They chase every lead, worried that the wedding and family plans are starting to unravel. The early morning finds them exhausted but hopeful.

To salvage the situation, Tej's family meets dealer Pathan and agrees to buy a stolen Ertiga, hoping to have a car in the house by the next day in exchange for Rs 5 Lakhs. The plan places them on the edge of legality and adds pressure to resolve the crisis before the wedding. The tension escalates as the clock ticks.

To ensure there is always a car in the garage, Sameer and Gattu rent another Ertiga from a Jat family. The rental is timed strictly for the day, with a 6 PM return and a high daily fee if they miss it.

At 5 PM, Sameer goes on a date with Jasleen while wearing clothes Tej bought for Raj. Jasleen flirts with the idea of a relationship, but the encounter is complicated by the truth that she is Raj's sister. The scene highlights the tension between personal desire and family loyalty.

The next morning, Tej asks Sameer to fetch the car from the Maruti showroom, but Pathan's people foil the plan and the police arrest Sameer. A high-speed chase later results in the car being recovered from thieves and returned to the family.

After the wedding ceremony, Sameer confesses everything to his father in front of the entire family. Tej scolds but ultimately forgives him, recognizing the underlying love and intention of trying to fix things. The moment ends with the revelation that three Ertigas have arrived at the Khullar household, leaving everyone astonished.
