In 1208, as the Teutonic Order advances eastward, Estonian villagers—who spend their days farming and singing—face the threat of conquest. Untrained in war, they rally behind a young Catholic‑raised boy as leader. Their fight for freedom pits them against Germans, French, Russians and Latvians, testing their resolve to preserve their way of life.
