Two married couples are drawn into a tangled emotional drama when Dr. Leslie Yates encounters his former college love, writer Doris Wilding, after a decade apart. They reminisce and arrange a dinner together with their spouses. On the night before the dinner, Leslie’s wife Helen finds a magazine article written by Doris, prompting Leslie to recall his past separation from her.
