Marmaduke

Marmaduke is a spirited teenage Great Dane living a peaceful life in the beautiful countryside of Kansas. He shares his home with a feline companion named Carlos and an owner, Phil Winslow, who often plays the role of a stern disciplinarian.

Carlos reveals to Marmaduke that Phil plans to move them to Orange County, California. This news sets off a whirlwind of changes for Marmaduke, as he prepares to leave his familiar surroundings behind.

Upon arriving in Orange County, Marmaduke and Phil are greeted by a vibrant new neighborhood. Phil is motivated to impress his boss, Don Twombly, to secure a new advertising campaign for Bark Organic dog food.

At the local dog park, Marmaduke meets Mazie, a charming pup who quickly develops feelings for him. He also encounters Giuseppe, a timid Chinese Crested, and Raisin, a clever Dachshund who enrich his new social circle.

Marmaduke’s heart races when he spots Jezebel, a beautiful Rough Collie, who is involved with the menacing Bosco. Faced with Bosco’s intimidating presence and flanked by two miniature Pinschers, Marmaduke feels the pressure mounting.

In a bid for acceptance, Marmaduke and his friends crash Bosco’s exclusive party meant for purebred dogs. The chaos that ensues ends with Marmaduke's instinct to flee from the fierce Bosco and his entourage.

To boost his street cred with the other dogs, Marmaduke stages a faux fight with Carlos at the park. This comedic display is aimed at impressing Jezebel, though it inadvertently troubles Mazie, who thinks Marmaduke is interested in her.

Marmaduke participates in a dog-surfing contest, a publicity stunt set up by Phil. Against all odds, he manages to defeat the reigning champion, Bosco, catching the attention of Petco executives present at the event.

To help curb Marmaduke’s unruly behavior, Phil hires a dog trainer named Anton. However, their initial attempts yield little success as Marmaduke struggles to control his overzealous antics.

In an attempt to win over Jezebel, Marmaduke organizes a romantic date, unknowingly inviting Mazie along. This leads to a humorous misunderstanding, adding complexity to the growing friendships.

Marmaduke throws a house party that quickly spirals out of control when Bosco crashes the festivities. This event culminates in Marmaduke's worst fears being realized, leading to the loss of friends and home.

In his moment of despair, Marmaduke seeks comfort from Chupadogra, a wise and elderly English Mastiff. Chupadogra, having experienced his own heartbreak, provides Marmaduke guidance on returning home.

When Marmaduke goes missing, both the Winslow family and Mazie embark on a frantic search for him. Their love and concern unite them in a race against time to find Marmaduke before it’s too late.

Mazie falls into an underground rainwater conduit, leading Marmaduke to perform a heroic rescue. This daring act strengthens the bond between Marmaduke and Phil, showcasing his deep commitment to his dog.

With their experiences behind them, the Winslows decide to stay in California instead of returning to Kansas. Marmaduke champions equality among breeds in the dog park, celebrating friendships and his newfound love for Mazie.
