TS Quint arrives at his girlfriend Brandi Svenning's home in New Jersey, excited about their planned road trip to Florida. However, he is met with disappointing news that Brandi has been forced to fill in for a contestant on her father's television dating show due to unforeseen circumstances.

As Quint learns of Brandi's unexpected commitment, frustration arises. He feels her father's overbearing influence threatens their relationship, leading to mounting tension between the couple as Quint's plan to propose becomes jeopardized.

At home, Brodie is abruptly woken by his girlfriend Rene, who expresses dissatisfaction with his lack of ambition. Their relationship reaches a breaking point as Rene chooses to leave him, opting to exit through the basement window with a parting letter.

In their respective moments of heartbreak, Quint seeks comfort at Brodie's house. The two friends bond over their breakup experiences, ultimately deciding to head to the local mall for distraction and some fun.

Upon arriving at the mall, both Quint and Brodie discover Brandi's father preparing for the live taping of his dating show. Fueled by a desire for revenge against their ex-girlfriends and the situation, Brodie hatches a scheme to sabotage the show.

Determined to carry out their plan, Brodie and Quint enlist the notorious duo, Jay and Silent Bob, to join in on their chaotic mission. This partnership sets the stage for a series of humorous and mischievous events to unfold.

Brodie becomes increasingly distressed as he notices Rene getting close to Shannon, who is the general manager of a men's store. In a tense moment, Brodie and Rene's unresolved feelings lead to a reckless encounter in the mall elevator.

Seeking guidance, Quint and Brodie visit a flea market where they meet a psychic named Ivannah. Her advice encourages Quint to persevere in his efforts to win back Brandi, bolstering their determination.

As their revenge plan develops, Quint and Brodie manage to secure a spot as contestants on Brandi's father's dating show. Amid the confusion, an unforeseen illness strikes another contestant, allowing their antics to further ensue.

During the live show, Quint impressively captivates Brandi with his charm and wit, causing a stir among the contestants. Simultaneously, Brodie takes the opportunity to publicly expose Shannon's shady character, intensifying the unfolding drama.

The dating show descends into chaos as Shannon's unscrupulous behavior gets revealed, resulting in his arrest. The executives, initially unimpressed, find Brodie entertaining, paving the way for unexpected opportunities.

In a surprising twist, Brodie is offered the chance to host his own talk show, and Brandi's father’s efforts are deemed unsuccessful. Meanwhile, Quint and Brandi's relationship matures as they plan to tie the knot.

The film concludes with a colorful montage showcasing the characters' new paths: Brodie flourishing as a talk show host, Quint and Brandi celebrating their wedding at the Jaws attraction, and Jay and Silent Bob embarking on fresh escapades. Their friendship and youthful rebellion thrive.
