In an awkward attempt to ask out his love interest, Jessie, Killian fumbles a grocery store interaction while shopping. This moment highlights his struggle with relationships and his emotional instability.

Killian frequently writes letters to his idol, fitness champion Brad, expressing admiration and detailing his bodybuilding goals. He includes his phone number in hopes of receiving a response, emphasizing his desperate need for validation.

Frustrated by the local painter's refusal to repaint his grandfather's house, Killian threatens the shop owner. This encounter escalates to destruction as Killian breaks windows and damages inventory, showcasing his escalating aggression.

During a dinner date with Jessie, Killian trauma dumps about the death of his parents. His intense monologue about bodybuilding dreams overwhelms Jessie, leading her to leave him alone at the restaurant.

Just before an important bodybuilding show, Killian is assaulted by the painter's nephew and his friends. Despite being beaten, he manages to drive himself to the show, showcasing his relentless dedication.

As Killian steps onto the stage for his performance, he tragically passes out mid-pose. He later wakes up in a bathtub, icing his injuries, highlighting the toll his bodybuilding obsession has taken on his body.

In a session with his counselor, Killian hides his violent thoughts and the truth about his life circumstances. This denial reflects his inability to process his emotions and spirals him further into turmoil.

After losing his job, Killian encounters the painter's nephew again in a diner, creating a threatening scene. This incident marks the escalation of his aggression as he begins to purchase and assemble firearms.

Unexpectedly, Killian receives a call from Brad, inviting him to a photo shoot. The encounter marks a turning point, becoming a fantasy for Killian as he finally has an opportunity to connect with his idol.

Killian and Brad engage in a fleeting but impactful intimate encounter. However, after the encounter, Brad withdraws, leaving Killian feeling rejected and spiraling further into dark thoughts.

In a moment of rage and desperation, Killian breaks into the home of a judge who had previously criticized him. Armed and threatening, he forces the judge to strip and pose, illustrating his internal conflict and desire for control.

Killian attends Brad's posing show with a gun, consumed by fantasies of violence. Despite internal chaos and visions from his past, he ultimately decides against acting on these violent urges and leaves without incident.

Upon returning home, Killian has an emotional breakdown in his Paw-Paw's arms. The climax of his journey sees him dismantling his gun, disposing of his steroids, and reaffirming his bodybuilding dreams through a final act of flexing.
