In Ecuador, Colonel Jim Faith and Lieutenant Dixon Piper embark on a desperate mission to locate MacGruber, a legendary operative known for his impressive combat skills. Their goal is to enlist his help in recovering the stolen warhead, believed to be on U.S. soil.

After finding MacGruber meditating in a chapel, Faith and Piper urge him to join the fight against Cunth. Although initially hesitant, memories of his late fiancée, killed during their wedding, ignite a burning desire for revenge, prompting MacGruber to accept the mission.
