Meghana, Avantika Mishra, has a rare gift of extrasensory perception. At the age of six, she foresees her mother’s death but cannot save her. Fifteen years later, Meghana is a journalist and lives with her father Nagendra Babu and her mother Meena Vasu. On a special assignment, she meets a renowned fashion designer, Siddharth Varma, whose easygoing nature draws her in and sparks a slow-burn romance. She is quickly drawn to his kindness and begins to fall for him, hoping to build a life together. Meanwhile, Meghana has a vision of the death of a security guard; with Siddharth’s help, she manages to save the guard. She then shares these visions with her father, who consoles her and begins to learn about his daughter’s growing feelings for Siddharth.
Soon after, Meghana reconnects with her childhood friend Puja, Sushma Raj. Puja reveals that she and Siddharth are engaged, a revelation that unsettles Meghana and stirs a sense that Siddharth may have hurt her in the past. Then Meghana experiences a vision of Siddharth slitting Puja’s neck. She tells her father, and they turn to a parapsychologist, Jhansi. The psychiatrist notes that Meghana is present at every vision and advises her to observe Puja and Siddharth’s relationship more closely, hoping to uncover the truth behind the ominous premonitions.
Meghana’s visions escalate to include a girl electrocuted in a bathtub. She recognizes the girl as Vaishali, Siddharth’s former girlfriend, who is already believed to be dead in a car accident. Through investigation, Meghana uncovers that Siddharth bribed officials to close the Vaishali case, hinting at a hidden and painful history. When Meghana returns home, Siddharth confronts her with the truth: Vaishali was a social activist and their love faced opposition from her conservative family. They eloped and fled to his farmhouse. Siddharth recalls hearing Vaishali scream in the bathtub and finding her electrocuted; after a car accident on the way to the hospital, he bribed officials to avoid controversy. The tragedy leaves him depressed, and Puja steps in to care for him. Yet when Meghana enters his life, he is drawn to her because she resembles Vaishali, and he gradually falls in love with Meghana.
The next day, Puja calls Meghana to meet. Puja reveals Siddharth’s altered behavior and confesses that she has loved him since childhood. She also admits she was the one who electrocuted Vaishali, consumed by fury over Siddharth’s marriage plans. She tries to kill Meghana, but Siddharth arrives with a police officer to arrest Puja. In a dramatic confrontation, Puja shoots the officer, and Siddharth unintentionally slits Puja’s throat with a knife.
In the end, Meghana and Siddharth marry and begin to live together, their bond strengthened by Meghana’s unsettling gift and the turbulent revelations that brought them to this precarious happiness.

Puja electrocuted Vaishali because she was consumed by rage over Siddharth's plans to marry Vaishali. Puja had loved Siddharth since childhood but never confessed her feelings. When she learned Siddharth intended to marry Vaishali, her jealousy turned violent, leading her to kill Vaishali in the bathtub at the farmhouse.
Puja's revelation about her childhood love for Siddharth and her anger at his engagement hints at her capacity for such extreme action.
Meghana's extrasensory perception allowed her to have premonitions of future events. Her vision of Siddharth slitting Puja's neck was one of these psychic visions that had plagued her since childhood. The vision proved prophetic when, during the confrontation, Puja shot a police officer and Siddharth accidentally slashed her throat while trying to disarm her.
Earlier in the film, the parapsychologist noted that Meghana was present at every vision, suggesting her abilities were directly connected to the people involved.
Siddharth agreed to marry Puja primarily because his mother pressured him into the engagement after Vaishali's death. He was emotionally devastated by Vaishali's murder and became depressed. Puja stepped in to care for him during this period, and his mother encouraged the match. However, Siddharth later fell in love with Meghana because she physically resembled Vaishali.
Siddharth's attraction to Meghana from the beginning hints at his unresolved feelings for Vaishali.
On the night Vaishali died, she and Siddharth had eloped to his farmhouse to escape her conservative family's opposition. During a bath, Vaishali screamed, and Siddharth found her electrocuted in the bathtub. He rushed her to the hospital but she died. Siddharth then bribed officials to close the case quickly to avoid controversy surrounding their secret marriage.
Meghana's vision of a girl being electrocuted in a bathtub directly connects to this traumatic event.
Siddharth bribed officials to quickly close Vaishali's case because their relationship was secret and controversial. Since they had eloped against her conservative family's wishes, Siddharth wanted to avoid the scandal and public scrutiny that would come from a prolonged investigation into her death.
Meghana's investigation revealing that officials were bribed foreshadows Siddharth's desperate attempt to bury his painful past.
Meghana used her extrasensory perception to foresee the security guard's death during her assignment with Siddharth. She warned Siddharth about the impending danger, and together they took action in time to prevent the guard's death. This was one of the first times Meghana's visions led to a positive outcome rather than a tragic one.
This successful rescue establishes Meghana's gift as a genuine ability that can potentially save lives, contrasting with her childhood failure.
Puja tried to kill Meghana because she confessed her love for Siddharth and revealed that she and Siddharth were together. Driven mad by jealousy and desperate to keep Siddharth for herself, Puja attacked Meghana in a fit of rage, believing that eliminating Meghana would solve her problems. This violent act exposed her as Vaishali's killer.
Puja's confession that she electrocuted Vaishali over Siddharth's marriage plans foreshadows her willingness to kill again.
During the confrontation at Meghana's location, Puja shot the police officer who came to arrest her. In the struggle that followed, Siddharth attempted to stop Puja and unintentionally slashed her throat with a knife. The killing was accidental - Siddharth was trying to disarm her and prevent further violence, but the knife struck her neck fataly.
Meghana's earlier vision of Siddharth slitting Puja's neck predicted this tragic outcome.
Meghana physically resembled Vaishali, which is why Siddharth was initially drawn to her. This resemblance triggered complex emotions in Siddharth - he was attracted to Meghana partly because she reminded him of his lost love. However, the film suggests his feelings for Meghana became genuine as he truly fell in love with her beyond the physical similarity.
Siddharth's immediate attraction to Meghana hints at the deeper connection to Vaishali that would later be revealed.
The parapsychologist advised Meghana to observe Puja and Siddharth's relationship because she noticed Meghana was present at every vision. This pattern suggested the danger might come from someone connected to Meghana personally. By watching their interactions, Meghana could determine whether her visions reflected actual threats or were products of her fear and emotional involvement with Siddharth.
This investigation leads Meghana to uncover the truth about Vaishali and eventually Puja's crimes.
At age six, Meghana had a terrifying ESP vision of her mother's death but was unable to prevent it. This traumatic childhood experience established her gift as both a curse and a burden - she could see terrible events before they happened but lacked the power to change them. This failure haunted her throughout her life and made her reluctant to trust her visions.
This childhood tragedy sets up the central theme of Meghana's gift as a painful burden rather than a helpful ability.
