On arrival at the hospital, he learns Mi-soo has resigned. In a tender moment, he spots her running across the road toward him and calls her name, and they share a long-awaited kiss as colleagues look on. The moment marks a shift from colleagues to something more personal.

In the final turn, Mi-soo arrives as the new recruit at the firehouse and is assigned to Kang-il's team. The two continue to work side by side as firefighters, ready for the next call.
