Lost in a Harem

A traveling vaudeville show finds itself stranded in a desert region of the Middle East, cutting off from their usual circuit. Hazel Moon, the troupe's singer, takes a job at a local cafe to earn money and keep busy while the others figure out a way home.

Two of the show's prop men, Peter Johnson and Harvey Garvey, are hired as comic relief to entertain locals. Their on-stage act triggers a brawl, escalating the troupe's troubles and drawing unwanted attention.

The trio lands in jail after the brawl spirals out of control. Inside, they encounter the derelict who performs the 'Slowly I Turned' routine with Pokomoko as the trigger word.

While incarcerated, they meet Prince Ramo, a sheik who offers to help them escape if they agree to aid him in reclaiming his throne. The offer hinges on Nimativ's usurpation through hypnotic rings.

After a narrow escape, Peter and Harvey join Ramo on his desert riders, and the plan forms: Hazel will seduce Nimativ to render him vulnerable. The group sets out on a campaign to regain the throne.

Peter and Harvey travel to Nimativ's capital posing as Hollywood talent scouts, meeting the usurper. Nimativ quickly falls for Hazel and hypnotizes the pair, who are forced to reveal their true plan and are imprisoned again.

Hazel is hypnotized into becoming one of Nimativ's wives, entranced by his charm and power. The others remain imprisoned as they realize the gravity of their mission.

Ramo helps the boys escape and they promise Teema, Nimativ's first wife, a chance at a movie career in exchange for aid. Harvey disguises himself as Teema, while Peter dresses as Nimativ to carry out the ruse.

During a grand celebration, the duo manage to steal the hypnotic rings, a key to Nimativ's control. They devise a plan to use the rings against Nimativ to undo his hold on the throne.

The rings are turned against Nimativ, sapping his hypnotic control and causing him to abdicate. Ramo is reinstated as ruler, with Hazel positioned as his wife, aligning with the couple's new political status.

With Nimativ deposed and the throne secured, the troupe departs for the United States, guided by the derelict who serves as driver for their post-adventure homeward journey.
