Little Rural Riding Hood

The film opens with a hillbilly version of Red Riding Hood telling the audience she is taking nourishment to her grandma on a country farm. She holds up a moonshine bottle in a humorous, folksy way. The mood is playful and sets up the rural setting.

In the farmhouse, the wolf confesses that he doesn't want to eat Red. He is in love with her and wishes to kiss her.

After a comical chase around the farmhouse, Red and the wolf prepare to kiss when a telegram arrives for the wolf from his city cousin inviting him to meet the city's version of Red. The telegram shows a photo of the city Red, instantly sparking the country wolf's curiosity. This interruption pushes him toward a journey to the city.

Following the telegram, the country wolf leaves the farm and travels to the city to meet the glamorous, sophisticated city Red. He hopes urban romance will be different from his rural affair.

In the city, the rural wolf is revealed as wealthy, suave, and sophisticated, a stark contrast to his country image. He and his city cousin plan to visit a nightclub to seek out the city Red.

At the nightclub, the city's Red performs a seductive song-and-dance routine titled 'Oh Wolfie' for the crowd. The rural wolf watches with mounting arousal, whistling and leering as he imagines joining her on stage.

The city cousin intervenes by grabbing the rural wolf's suspenders and using a hidden hammer to knock him out when the hammer snaps back. He drags his cousin away from the stage and back toward the countryside.

Back at the farmhouse, the country cousin mentions that city life is too much for him and plans to return home with his cousin. The wolves head back toward the countryside, ending their city visit for now.

Back at the country farmhouse, the country Red waits for the wolves' return, and the city wolf suddenly becomes captivated by her again. He dashes toward her, but is blocked by his country cousin once more.

Seeing an opportunity to see the city's Red again, the country wolf decides to take his city cousin back to the city, claiming that country life is too much for him. They drive off toward urban life, leaving the countryside romance unresolved.

The film ends with the two wolves departing for the city, implying their adventures will continue beyond the farm. The urban temptations linger as the countryside romance remains unresolved for Red.
