Little Nicky (2000) Timeline Explained – Every Event in Order

Satan had ruled Hell for ten thousand years as the Prince of Darkness. When he gathered his three sons to announce his decision, he ultimately chose to retain his position, declaring they weren't ready to inherit the throne. This refusal to abdicate is what sparked Adrian and Cassius's fury and drove them to execute their plan to take over Earth.

Adrian and Cassius traveled to Earth and began manipulating influential leaders in New York City. Their coordinated effort to establish their own dominion on Earth caused Hell's entrance to freeze over, stopping the flow of new souls and leading to Satan's physical form decaying. This was their plan to weaken their father's power while building their own empire.

Nicky struggled to survive in the human world because he was unfamiliar with basic survival instincts. He died multiple times from everyday dangers like crossing streets and encountering threats, each time briefly returning to Hell before being sent back. This established the comedic fish-out-of-water dynamic and his learning curve.
