On the neon-lit plains of Clitopolis, Saira is an anxious, introverted princess who has grown up under the gaze of two neglectful lesbian queens. When her partner of two weeks, Kiki, breaks her heart, Kiki is suddenly kidnapped by the enigmatic and ruthless Straight White Maliens, who plan to use her as bait to force Saira to reveal or obtain the labrys so they can power their notorious “chick magnet.”

Determined to rescue Kiki, Saira steals a Problematic Ship and embarks on a galaxy-spanning quest. Her journey quickly broadens as she salvages a chance ally: Willow, a former gay-pop idol living on a forgotten moon, who is trapped in a perilous mine and rescued from a crystal chamber that has seen better days. The two form a hesitant partnership, drawn together by shared stubbornness and a widening sense of possibility as they travel toward a future neither of them fully understands yet.

Their path leads them to a drag queen known as Blade, a figure of sharp wit and sharper survival instincts who pushes Saira to learn kindness toward herself. Blade’s presence is tense and volatile; the training is rough, and the stakes feel personal as Saira begins to glimpse what it might take to summon her power. The encounter ends in violence when Blade attempts to seize the labrys, but Willow and Saira push back, and in a brutal act, they decapitate Blade, severing a dangerous tether to Saira’s potential.

In the aftermath, Willow and Saira share a brief, intense connection, a reminder that love and fear can coexist even in a journey defined by duty. Yet the mission remains the priority: they push on toward the planet of the Straight White Maliens. There, Saira risks everything by offering up her labrys to force a rescue of Kiki. The reunion is fraught; Kiki refuses to recommit, and old insecurities surge to the surface. In that moment, Saira’s labrys dematerialises, leaving her vulnerable as Maliens close in with their own agenda.

The turn of events becomes a test of resilience. After a surge of self-doubt, Saira retrieves her inner strength and re-summons the labrys, using its power to energize the Maliens’ infamous “chick magnet.” The revelation comes quickly and unexpectedly: the Maliens realize they have overvalued attention from women and decide to reframe their desires, choosing to date each other as a throuple rather than pursuing external validation. With Kiki’s rescue accomplished but the romance unresolved, Saira makes a pivotal choice: she returns to Clitopolis not tied to a partner, but embracing a self that is stronger and more fulfilled on her own terms.

Back on her home world, Saira is greeted by a warmer, more social version of herself. The credits offer a snapshot of her continued growth: she enjoys family therapy sessions with her mothers and Blade (who remains alive despite the earlier decapitation), receives Willow’s hit album that documents her journey, and sets off on new adventures aboard the ship—standing not as a project to be completed, but as a narrative of ongoing self-discovery.
