Lapitch the Little Shoemaker

Lapitch is tasked with fitting the boots for the pigs' Mayor, but the Mayor's son tries one on and the fitting goes awry. The Mayor and his entourage leave town in a huff. Mrs. Scowler apologises for her husband's behaviour and hints that she and Majstor Mrkonja were happier long ago, a secret she will tell Lapitch when he is older.

After the incident, Lapitch writes a letter to the Scowlers and leaves town with the boots. Brewster joins him the next morning as they set out on their own, starting a new journey.

Lapitch and Brewster visit Marco, a young squirrel, at a house with a blue star on the wall and help round up some geese that had gone astray. Marco serves them supper in the evening while they rest. An awkward raccoon named Melvin eavesdrops and later learns of an artefact stored inside Marco's house.

Melvin runs to inform Dirty Rat, the King of the Underworld, about the artefact stored in Marco's house. Dirty Rat starts plotting to seize the treasure. The wheels of trouble are set in motion.

Leaving Marco's house, a sudden storm drives the group to seek shelter under a bridge. There they unexpectedly encounter Dirty Rat, who introduces himself as the King of the Underworld. The encounter marks the start of a fierce confrontation ahead.

The next day Lapitch wakes to find his boots missing and meets Lisa, an orphan girl, and her parrot Pico who escaped from a circus. Lisa and Pico join the group as they travel. They come from a circus whose ringmaster mistreated them.

During their journey they meet Melvin's mother. She worries about her son's misbehavior but gives Lapitch a lucky coin before they leave, hoping it will help. Lapitch later gives the coin to Melvin.

The group works together to extinguish a fire, but Melvin becomes a suspect in a string of robberies. They also meet Yana, a cat-like warthog whose magic powers give Lapitch the courage to face Dirty Rat. The looming threat of Dirty Rat grows.

Inside the circus, Lisa entertains the patrons on an underused merry-go-round and is reunited with her horse Blanka. The crowd's reaction helps boost the group's morale. Lisa's performance ties her fate to the others' plan to stop Dirty Rat.

The group learns Dirty Rat has made a deal with the ringmaster to reach Marco's house by horse and steal the family chest, so they devise a plan to stop him for good. They prepare their defenses and set in motion the effort to intercept the theft. Night falls as they enact their plan.

They encounter Mr. Scowler, who has been robbed and tied to a tree for two days, and they rescue him from captivity. The reunion strengthens their resolve to confront Dirty Rat. The town's fate hangs in the balance as they move toward the final confrontation.

Guided by Yana, Lapitch confronts Dirty Rat as his wagon charges toward him. A bolt of lightning snaps the harness, sending Dirty Rat and his cart over a cliff. The heroics undo the villain's plans and bring relief to the community.

The group arrives at Marco's house where his mother reveals the family's treasure and Melvin's coin. Marco's estranged father returns after years away, reuniting the family. Mrs. Scowler is relieved to see everyone safe.

Mrs. Scowler recognises Lisa as their lost daughter Susanna, leading to an emotional family reunion. The revelation completes the Scowlers' long search for their child. The newfound happiness rekindles their bond with Lapitch.

Mr. Scowler plays a violin as the townspeople celebrate the return and safety of everyone. Lapitch is finally recognised as the most respected shoemaker in town, earning the respect of the Scowlers and their community. The town's mood shifts from trouble to festive pride.
