Lake of Dracula

Akiko loses her dog on the beach and follows it to a European mansion. Inside, she finds a dead woman at the piano and is confronted by an old man who stares at her. She then meets the vampire who haunts the mansion.

Eighteen years pass and Akiko now lives near a lake, still haunted by the incident she believes was a dream. She befriends Kusaku, a boat operator who has just received a strange package: a white coffin. The package foreshadows a looming danger connected to the mansion’s past.

Kusaku complains to the shipping agent and returns to find the coffin empty. He is soon attacked by the same vampire Akiko encountered years earlier. The empty coffin marks the return of the threat to Akiko’s life.

Takashi Saki, Akiko’s doctor boyfriend, visits her while Akiko’s sister Natsuko is secretly in love with him. At the hospital, a woman with two bite holes in her neck is turned by the vampire, indicating the terror is spreading. Takashi is called away to tend to the patient as danger mounts.

Akiko’s dog and Natsuko go missing, prompting a frantic search. Akiko discovers her dog dead in a field with Kusaku nearby. Kusaku attacks Akiko, leading to a chase in which a branch knocks her unconscious and she is taken back to his home.

Awakening in Kusaku’s vicinity, Akiko finds a vampire poised to bite her, but two fishermen arrive to inquire about a boat, interrupting the attack. The vampire and Kusaku retreat, leaving Akiko shaken and more determined. The close call confirms the danger is real and persistent.

Back at the hospital, Takashi’s patient is beckoned from her bed by the vampire. Takashi spots her being drawn away, but she falls down a stairway and dies. The hospital becomes a site of supernatural threat and tragedy.

Under the vampire’s curse, Natsuko arrives back at Akiko’s home with the vampire himself. Akiko hides while Takashi is attacked in his car by Kusaku; the car crashes and Takashi prevails, while Kusaku expires in the struggle.

After Takashi returns home, Akiko and he find Natsuko dying on a beach. She begs for her corpse to be burned, and they rush her to the hospital for an autopsy. The tragedy intensifies the sense that the past is not finished.

At the hospital morgue, Natsuko rises from the dead and escapes. The resurrection confirms that the curse is active and that Akiko’s world has grown deadlier. This unsettling turn forces new actions from the protagonists.

Takashi hypnotizes Akiko to relive her dream, and she remembers the past as an actual event. The revelation explains why she was the favorite daughter and ties the earlier horror to a lineage of vampirism. The truth strengthens her resolve to confront the mansion’s history.

Akiko and Takashi return to the old mansion and discover the dead man and his diary. The diary explains that the father built the house to hide a vampire descendant, and that the son became the vampire after killing a woman. The girl and her dog witnessed the event, prompting a desperate attempt to escape and keep others safe.

The vampire fights Takashi on a balcony while the old man, reanimated as a vampire, grabs the vampire’s leg and destabilizes the railing. A fall impales the vampire, who dusts away, and Natsuko collapses as the curse breaks. The old man returns to a non-vampiric state, and both he and Natsuko become human corpses, ending the terror.
