Stella and her fiancé Rimson vanish while trekking through the pristine forest, triggering a tense search into unknown terrain. The forest's depth and isolation heighten the danger as the party realizes something sinister may be at work. The disappearance sets the entire expedition in motion.

Four SAR Komodo Team members—Darwin, Asti, Herman, and Petra—begin their search and descend into the forest. They are joined by Samantha when they reach the forest edge, altering the group's dynamic. Her guarded arrival hints at secrets that will unfold as the mission progresses.

After setting up camp, the team questions Samantha about why she entered the forest alone. Unsettling noises and inexplicable phenomena ripple through the trees, casting an eerie mood over the expedition. The group presses on, unsettled by the forest's mood and its unknown dangers.

Samantha discovers Stella's red shawl, linking the living to long-buried memories. A memory surfaces of her mother Mega N. Widjoko urging her to travel to Ujung Sedo to confront a wangsit tied to the Kuntilanak. The revelation deepens the sense of fate guiding their path.

A thick morning mist rolls in, dampening morale as the group follows Yenny into terrain where the Kuntilanak's reach feels both distant and intimate. Yenny disappears at the mouth of a cave, and the team splits to cover more ground amid a string of terrorizing, unexplainable events.

Samantha is drawn toward a cave where a haunting truth emerges. The group endures a crisis that bleeds into the night, and they are warned to seek Mbah Putri, the elder tied to the Kuntilanak's wangsit within the Mangkoedjiwo family. The encounter deepens the sense of old powers at work.

They press on toward what Samantha believes is Ujung Sedo, but the forest tests them: Herman is ensnared by a Kuntilanak and sinks into quicksand. The travelers stumble into a ghostly village where a cow carcass lies near a crying baby, and Petra, despite warnings, takes the child.

The baby vanishes and Petra becomes a target of a Kuntilanak attack. Asti, Darwin, and Samantha race to find her, while Samantha encounters Yenny again and is drawn into a field where fallen leaves drift like whispers, and blind children chase a white horse in a disturbing vision.

Darwin, having witnessed the creature, takes his own life after a sinister enchantment. The convoy continues toward Mbah Putri’s home, with Asti pledging solidarity to Samantha if they survive. The sense of impending doom intensifies as they push deeper toward the elder’s dwelling.

At Mbah Putri’s dwelling, the elder confronts Samantha with a century-spanning history. She explains the Kuntilanak’s origin within the Mangkoedjiwo lineage and describes the Durmo, an ancient chant meant to summon the wangsit. The revelation reframes their quest as a road to truth rather than a simple hunt.

The Durmo is sung and the Kuntilanak grows stronger by feeding on souls kept within the maternal womb. The demon’s power is bound to the Mangkoedjiwo descendants, and a twist reveals that Sam’s earlier encounter with Mega was an illusion crafted by Mbah Putri to lure her to Ujung Sedo. The ritual confirms the living are entangled with ancient grievances.

With the Durmo at its peak, Samantha decides to sacrifice herself by leaping into the waterfall to ensure the child dies with her. A rescue helicopter descends as Asti, Yenny, and the others reach the rescue point, offering a fragile thread of hope. The closing image lingers on a hand emerging from beneath the stones, suggesting the danger may endure.
