Knox Goes Away

John Knox leads a bleak existence as a contract killer under the command of the ruthless crime lord Xavier Crane. His life is characterized by moral ambiguity and strained family relationships, especially with his estranged wife Cheryl and son Miles.

In the midst of his turmoil, Knox finds solace in Annie, a Cracovian immigrant who shares his passion for literature. Their relationship provides Knox with a brief respite from the chaos surrounding him.

Knox receives a life-altering diagnosis of Creutzfeldt-Jakob disease, prompting him to rethink his violent lifestyle. As he confronts the looming reality of his early demise, he begins to plan his exit from the contract killing world.
