Kiss of Death

Bev leaves Jimmy at home in Astoria to attend an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Ronnie arrives, pressing Jimmy to help move a convoy of stolen cars, and Jimmy initially refuses but relents out of concern for Ronnie's safety.

The caravan proceeds toward unloading the cars at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, drawing police attention. A panic during the arrest leads one of Jimmy's passengers to fire on officers, injuring Detective Calvin Hart and grazing Jimmy's hand and Hart's face.

Jack Gold, the Browns' lawyer, promises Jimmy that Bev will be taken care of if he takes the blame for the Navy Yard incident and remains silent about the others. The plan is a coercive cover that would implicate Jimmy while sparing the rest of the crew. This seeds the bargain that will affect Jimmy's future choices.

Bev, overwhelmed by Ronnie's coercion and the threat of loss, returns to alcohol and begins working at Ronnie's chop shop near Shea Stadium. Ronnie continues to pressure her at Baby Cakes, a Browns-owned club, where his advances and the alcohol push Bev toward a fatal decision. She dies instantly in a head-on crash when she flees Ronnie and crashes into a semi-truck.

Bev's funeral is observed under supervised release, and Jimmy listens to Ronnie's flimsy explanation for Bev's death. Bev's sister Rosie informs him that Bev never came home the night she died. Jimmy then agrees to become a state witness, naming all involved except Ronnie.

When the Browns suspect Ronnie of being the informant, Little Junior Brown viciously beats him to death in his office. The killing cements the Browns' fear of exposure but removes Ronnie as a barrier to Jimmy's cover.

Several years later, the district attorney approaches Jimmy again, pressing him to inform on the Browns. Still serving a sentence in Sing Sing, Jimmy negotiates a pardon and a job he would enjoy. He marries Rosie but keeps his informant duties hidden from her.

Jimmy re-enters the Browns' world and agrees to wear a wire as part of an undercover operation. He resumes participating in car thefts and attends meetings, gradually losing the separation between his cover and true loyalties.

During his time with Omar's circle, Jimmy witnesses Little Junior kill Omar at a meeting, revealing Omar's true identity to be a DEA undercover agent. The moment intensifies the danger around him and tightens the noose around the Browns.

Omar's crew kidnaps Jimmy and reveals Omar's undercover status as a DEA agent. The tape of Omar's killing becomes key evidence that leads to the arrest of Little Junior by the DA and the DEA.

After Little Junior is released on bail, he kidnaps Jimmy's daughter to send a message. Jimmy locates her in the woods, where her forehead bears the B.A.D. mark—a stark reminder of Junior's ruthless reach.

Returning to the city, Jimmy confronts Junior at Baby Cakes and holds him at gunpoint. A fight follows, and Detective Hart arrests Junior after discovering Jimmy was wearing a wire. Jimmy uses a tape containing corrupt threats from the district attorney as leverage to escape.

In the final scene, Jimmy steals an Explorer gifted by Junior and leaves the city with Rosie and their daughter. They set out to build a new life away from the danger of the Browns and the case.
