When the respected Dr. Monro is discovered dead, his housekeeper and two engineers are called to the stand, each recounting what they saw. Their testimonies piece together a tangled web of commercial delinquency and bribery that led to the murder. Only about half of the original film survives today, preserving this early courtroom drama.
