Justice League Dark: Apokolips War

The Justice League and the Teen Titans devise a plan to defeat Darkseid, ruler of Apokolips. Darkseid secretly watches their every move through Cyborg, who can see their entire strategy. The setup establishes the high stakes and looming machinations for the coming confrontation.

The teams land on Apokolips and are immediately overwhelmed by Paradooms, hybrid creatures forged from Parademons and Doomsday using Kryptonian DNA. Many members of the League and Titans fall, while the survivors are enslaved or forced to hide from Darkseid's forces. The assault marks a brutal turning point in the plan.

Darkseid has deployed Reapers to mine the planet's core. Back on Earth, Superman is depowered after Darkseid tattoos him with liquid kryptonite, and he is released to live with the guilt of his failed plan. The remaining heroes blame him for their losses and the light of hope dims.

Superman reunites with Raven, who struggles to contain Trigon. They seek John Constantine to cast a locator spell to track Damian Wayne and help free Batman. Constantine locates Damian at a League of Assassins outpost and reluctantly agrees to join the group.

The group travels to Stryker's Island in Metropolis where they meet Clark's wife Lois Lane, who has recruited the Suicide Squad to their cause. They plan to infiltrate LexCorp and use a Boom Tube to reach Apokolips and kill Darkseid. Lois, the Squad, and LexCorp defend the route while the others push toward Apokolips.

Lex Luthor is at LexCorp aiding Lois with gathering intel on Darkseid. Batman learns of Luthor's betrayal and dispatches Paradooms and the new Furies after the heroes. The team splits: Clark, Damian, Raven, Constantine, and Etrigan infiltrate Apokolips, while Lois, Luthor, and the Squad guard the Boom Tube.

Upon arrival, they are attacked by the Furies—cybernetic versions of Wonder Woman, Mera, Hawkman, Starfire, and Martian Manhunter. Wonder Woman kills Etrigan, but Constantine frees her from the Lasso of Truth; Wonder Woman chooses to stay behind to fend off the other Furies. The clash signals a brutal, high-stakes fight on Apokolips.

Superman's team rescues Flash from a treadmill powering Apokolips, while Cyborg, embedded in the planet's network, is confronted by Darkseid's forces. Constantine frees Cyborg from Darkseid's control, which also frees the remaining Furies. The team regroups and continues the fight.

Darkseid orders Batman to kill Damian, who resists after recalling his parents' death. Damian dies in Batman's arms, a blow that shatters Raven emotionally. Raven's grief helps trigger Trigon's release.

Darkseid's attempt to end the resistance escalates when Constantine offers his body as a vessel for Trigon, but Trigon refuses and instead takes Clark's body. He purges Kryptonite from Clark, restores his powers, and kills Constantine by breaking his neck. The power shift turns the tide of the battle.

Now inhabiting Clark, Trigon attacks Darkseid directly. Zatanna visits Constantine in the afterlife and reveals Batman's contingency plan that was set up when Zatanna died. Raven and Zatanna then revive Damian and Constantine, reigniting the remaining heroes' will to fight.

Paradooms overwhelm Lois's team at LexCorp, forcing a self-destruct and Lois's death. Her sacrifice jolts Clark back to his senses, freeing him from Trigon's possession. Superman then resumes the battle against Darkseid with renewed resolve.

Constantine and Raven merge magic to give Trigon a physical body to continue fighting Darkseid. The remaining heroes are sent back to Earth, and Cyborg sacrifices himself to drag Darkseid, Trigon, and the Paradooms into a void Boom Tube with no destination. Trigon prevents Darkseid's escape as they are dragged into oblivion along with Apokolips.

Batman reveals that the Reapers drained magma from Earth's core, threatening the planet's stability. Constantine convinces The Flash to run back in time and reset the timeline, aiming for a better, if imperfect, world. The Flash agrees and creates another flashpoint, restoring a new timeline.
