Justice Society: World War II

As the Second World War intensifies, President Roosevelt receives a pressing request from Colonel Steve Trevor (Chris Diamantopoulos), urging him to mobilize the United States by forming a remarkable assembly of extraordinary heroes known as the Justice Society of America. This exceptional group includes Trevor, Black Canary, Hawkman (Omid Abtahi), Hourman (Matthew Mercer), and Jay Garrick, all led by the unstoppable Wonder Woman (Stana Katic). Their imperative mission is to confront the looming Nazi threat, utilizing their distinctive abilities to secure peace around the globe.

In a contrasting present-day scenario, Barry Allen (Matt Bomer) and Iris West (Ashleigh LaThrop) are enjoying a peaceful picnic in Metropolis, attempting to escape the pressures of their everyday lives. Their serene outing is abruptly interrupted when Superman (Darren Criss) arrives, engaged in a fierce conflict with Brainiac. Instinctively, Allen transforms into his swift alter ego, The Flash, and rushes to support the Man of Steel by harnessing his remarkable speed. Just when Brainiac fires a Kryptonite-laced bullet, Allen dives into the Speed Force for the very first time, successfully grasping the projectile and feeling the guidance of a mysterious voice during this life-altering moment.

As the energies of the Speed Force fade, Allen is catapulted to what he perceives to be the past, amid chaos as the Justice Society of America battles the Nazi forces. Initial confusion soon dissipates as the JSA identifies him as an ally, determining that Barry originates from a different timeline.

The JSA’s next undertaking involves infiltrating a heavily fortified Nazi stronghold to rescue a codebreaker whose deciphering expertise could reveal secrets stolen by Trevor. Aware of the potential risks of triggering a temporal paradox, the heroes cautiously welcome Allen’s assistance.

As they breach the fortress, led by “Shakespeare” (Darren Criss), they combat numerous challenges and uncover prisoners in distress within the dungeons. One battered captive, who recognizes Shakespeare as Clark Kent, passes along a parcel containing a costume and conveys a critical message: he must prevent an impending catastrophe. When a guard launches an attack on Shakespeare, the bullets harmlessly ricochet off him, unveiling his true identity to Allen. Barry then realizes that this isn’t the familiar Clark Kent he knows; instead, it is an alternate reality version.

Upon finding the codebreaker, Hawkman recognizes him as Kent Nelson, also known as Doctor Fate (Keith Ferguson). Allen soon learns that Fate has been a mysterious guide throughout his journey, hinting that Barry must undergo a significant lesson and complete a vital mission before he can return home.

Following Fate’s obscure advice, the team sets its focus on the Bermuda Triangle, where the codebreaker’s expertise will help decode a crucial message. As they navigate this perilous region, Doctor Fate inexplicably vanishes, leaving Allen with an unsettling mix of hope and trepidation.

As the Justice Society of America’s submersible craft, the Triangle, nears its target, a swarm of Nazi warships detects them. A flurry of depth charges severely damages their engines, obliging The Flashes and Wonder Woman to act decisively. With enemy vessels closing in, they execute a bold counterattack, with Wonder Woman leading the charge against the Nazi fleet. Just when all seems lost, Atlantean soldiers appear, guiding the heroes to a nearby outpost where they encounter Aquaman. However, they soon discover that their supposed rescue is part of a sinister trap set by Aquaman himself. In the shadows, the Advisor (Geoffrey Arend), a cunning telepathic mercenary, pulls the strings, aligning the Atlantean forces with the Nazis to eradicate the JSA and seize dominion over the Earth.

As the stakes reach critical heights, the Flashes unite to break free from their dire situation, dispersing to confront the challenges on separate fronts. One team ventures to New York City to thwart the Nazi-Atlantean alliance while Barry and Wonder Woman aim to stop Aquaman from unleashing a horde of monstrous creatures lurking in the depths.

The confrontation over Manhattan spirals into an explosive battle, with the JSA bravely holding their ground amid unrelenting odds. Initially, they suffer setbacks against the Atlantean forces; however, the arrival of the sea monsters shifts the dynamics dramatically. With Hawkman incapacitated and Hourman wounded, it falls to Garrick and Canary to vanquish these titanic beasts and change the course of the fight.

Simultaneously, Wonder Woman and Allen engage Aquaman in a fierce confrontation. Utilizing her Lasso of Truth, Wonder Woman severs the Atlantean king’s connection to the Advisor, allowing him to regain control. Ashamed, Aquaman retreats and signals his troops to withdraw. However, the Advisor ominously reveals that an aerial strike by Nazi bombers is imminent before meeting a brutal end at Barry’s hands.

As the aftermath unfolds, Kent returns donning the costume gifted by Trevor, embarking on a mission to dismantle the incoming bombers. In a heartfelt moment, Trevor proposes to Wonder Woman, who gracefully accepts. Although the Advisor’s body is later found, he ultimately eludes capture, raising the specter of further vengeance against the JSA.

As Barry prepares to make his way back to his own Earth, he bids farewell to the Justice Society, receiving a ring from Trevor as a treasured reminder of their bond. With this memento, Wonder Woman cautions him to seize the moment without delay. Back in his familiar realm, Barry channels his speed alongside Garrick’s, propelling himself back in time just moments before he originally intervened to save Iris. After triumphing over Brainiac yet again, Barry proposes to his beloved, who joyously accepts.

In the wake of these monumental events, the JSA pledges to pursue justice for Trevor’s heart-wrenching loss, while Barry gazes into a promising future, advocating the creation of a superhero coalition dedicated to tackling threats across multiple dimensions. With Iris at his side, he embarks on a quest to transform this ambitious vision into a compelling reality.
