Holly Davis is a wife and mother who appears to have a happy marriage with Chip Davis, a seismologist. Unbeknownst to her, Chip is having an affair with Sandy Dunlap. The film sets up a life in which Holly trusts her husband while a secret betrayal looms beneath the surface.
