Jujutsu Kaisen 0: The Movie

Yuta Okkotsu is a high school student who is frequently bullied. A Cursed Spirit named Rika attaches to him after his childhood friend dies, becoming an overprotective and volatile presence. Rika's power makes Yuta a target for the Jujutsu Society, who see him as a dangerous vessel for a mighty curse.

Gojo intervenes and offers Yuta a chance to study at Tokyo Jujutsu Technical High, sparing him from execution by the higher ups. The recruitment takes place in November 2016. Yuta agrees to join the school and begins his training under Gojo and the others. This marks the turning point from victim to sorcerer student.

During his early days at the school, Yuta explains that Rika is his childhood friend who died in a freak accident. Rika then transformed into a protective spirit who harms anyone who threatens Yuta. Her presence explains the origin of Yuta's curse and why he feels both fear and responsibility.

Yuta meets Maki Zen'in, Toge Inumaki, and Panda, three fellow students with distinct abilities. They each bring different skills to the team, and Yuta starts to fit into their dynamic. The group begins training together, building trust and camaraderie.

During their first joint mission with Maki, Yuta successfully summons Rika on his own. Rika arrives just in time to save them from a dangerous Cursed Spirit. The event proves Yuta can control Rika's power, at least briefly.

Three months pass as Yuta trains under the school's tutelage. He grows closer to Maki, Toge, and Panda, forging bonds with his teammates. Rika remains a central but volatile force in his life.

On a mission, Yuta and Toge are attacked by a high-level Curse. The true mastermind behind the assault is Suguru Geto, a former student who defected and killed many people. Geto tries to turn Yuta to his cause in order to access Rika.

Geto proclaims a war against non-sorcerer humans by unleashing a thousand Curses on the city. His real aim is to distract Gojo so he can kill Yuta and claim Rika for himself. Gojo deduces Geto's motive and prepares to respond.

Gojo learns of Geto's assault and orders Inumaki and Panda back to the school to shield Yuta and Maki. They stand as a barrier while Gojo moves to confront Geto. The night of the attack tests Yuta and his friends' resolve.

Geto overpowers the group and leaves Yuta’s circle the only one conscious. In his fury over his friends' injuries, Yuta sacrifices himself to Rika to strengthen their bond. This act triggers Rika and marks a turning point in the fight against Geto.

Gojo finds Geto and, after reflecting on their shared past, executes Geto. The killing of Geto signals the end of Geto's war and a shift in the school's leadership. This moment confirms the cost of the conflict and the stakes for Yuta.

Gojo explains that Yuta's ties to royal bloodlines within Japan's caste system inadvertently caused Rika's curse. Yuta accepts responsibility and continues training to break the curse. With Yuta's ongoing effort, Rika is finally able to pass on peacefully.

In a post-credits scene, Miguel, Geto's former ally, has lunch with Yuta in Kenya. Gojo joins them, hinting at future adventures for Yuta and the school. The scene provides a lighter note after the climactic battle.
