Josh returns home from work on his birthday, expecting a celebratory evening. While he was at the gym, his fiancée Rachel tragically asphyxiates herself with a belt, leaving Josh distraught upon his return.

Four months after Rachel's death, Josh and his friends Ari, Adam, and Eric decide to spend the weekend at a ranch in Ojai, which was originally planned as a bachelor party for Josh. The trip is meant to lift Josh's spirits amidst the tragedy he has faced.

On the first night at the ranch, the group visits a bar where Ari meets a girl named Jodi, forming an instant connection. Meanwhile, Adam discovers that his girlfriend wants to break up with him, creating tension among the group.
