Jericho: The Promise Fulfilled

After years of the Israelites wandering in the desert, the prophet Moses leaves Joshuah (his servant and spy) as the leader of the Israelites. after Moses’ death, he summons two Israelite spies named Salmon (pronounced “Solomon”) and Stephanos “Steve” and sends them on mission to the city of Jericho. when the King Of Jericho hears that Israelite spies are coming, he is not concerned that those who were once slaves can do any harm to Jericho. when they arrive at the city, they find that it is surrounded by gigantic strong fortress walls. when security cameras find them, guards on patrol are sent to search for them. the spies are then told to go an apartment in the city owned by a woman named Rahab, who hides them under large haystacks on the apartment roof. Rahab then tells the guards that she had seen them but they had left the city and the she did not see the direction, the guards leave the city to search for them and Rahab uncovers them from the haystacks. she lets them escape via a red rope out the window, Salmon tells her to keep it there so that she may be saved from Jericho’s destruction. as Salmon and Steve walk back to the Israelite camp in the desert, Steve teases Salmon saying that he has a crush on Rahab. when they arrive back to the camp, they report directly to Joshua and tell him that the only strength of Jericho is their fortress. the next morning, Joshua tells the Israelites to march the Jordan river which separates the camp from the city. as they walk through it, the water disappears from where they are walking and transforms into a giant wall of water in the river, and leaving them a dry path to walk on. afterwards they have a Passover, and find the next morning that there is no more manner. the next morning, the Isralites approach the fortress and march around it seven times. the King orders for armed troops and soldiers to guard the walls. after the seventh time around, the priests blow the trumpets and then the Israelits all yell and scream at the city. then, the fortress wall shake, crumble and then fall down, collapsing and disintegrating completely to the ground. however, some of the troops and people inside the city still survive and then it becomes and epic battle. during the battle, Salmon finds the window and the rope, which he uses to find Rahab and her family whom he rescues from the rubble. after the Israelites win the battle, Joshua tells Salmon to take care of Rahab.
