Gray Wolf catches wind of something dark in Pal’s plan, but the investigation is abruptly complicated when the wolf is trapped in a chimney, severing the immediate thread of truth. Pal Palych forges ahead, using dark magic to steal the real Ivan’s body, leaving Ivan’s spirit trapped inside Vasilisa’s toy monkey. The Gray Wolf, freed from his confinement, attempts to warn what he believes to be Ivan about Pal’s scheme, but Pal’s traps prove deadly and the warning goes unheard.
