During the holiday season, the Muppet Theater faces a financial crisis that could close the stage. An Angel named Daniel brings Kermit's worries to his Boss as they review the latest hours inside the theater life. The mood is tense as everyone wonders whether the show can go on.

Kermit struggles to mount a Christmas show while Bobo the Bear plays Santa. Bitterman arrives with a foreclosure threat if the theater can't pay up. Pepe leaves the Muppets, and Miss Piggy heads to Hollywood, further fraying the troupe.

Kermit scrambles to raise funds and fails to recruit a celebrity for the Christmas production. He travels to California to fetch Miss Piggy, who has just been fired as an extra on Scrubs, adding another jolt to his resolve.
