Iron Invader

A Russian satellite crashes to Earth, bringing alien bacteria that infect humans and animate metal. The bacteria cause death and transformation, fueling the creation of a giant iron golem. This event sets the stage for the chaos and destruction that follow in the story.

The debris from the satellite lands in a field where Jake Hampton and his brother Ethan are concerned about their livelihood. The arrival of the debris introduces the alien bacteria into their environment, hinting at the impending threat.

Amanda Spelling returns to the village with her daughter Claire, staying temporarily with her aunt amidst her divorce. Their arrival creates a personal connection to the small town and the ongoing events. Jake notices Amanda's return and their past relationship rekindles tension.

Deputy Jenny reports the theft of the giant golem, which has been taken illegally using a lorry. The sheriff dismisses the event as minor but becomes aware of the golem’s significance as the creature begins to threaten the town.

The giant robot, animated by alien bacteria, launches an attack, killing a driver and infecting him, turning his skin veiny and black. The bacteria disrupt radio and communication signals, complicating efforts to understand and stop the creature.

Ethan is found dead with dilated arteries, and the group realizes that the alien bacteria may have caused his death. The bacteria’s connection to the satellite debris and the golem becomes a key concern for the characters.

The golem, seemingly destroyed, begins to reassemble itself from fragments, demonstrating its ability to regenerate. The characters recognize that conventional weapons are ineffective against it, heightening the danger.

Amanda and Earl deduce that the blue substance on the golem is alien bacteria attracted by blood’s magnetic impulses. Earl reveals that he didn’t intentionally embed Russian satellite parts, complicating the origin story.

The characters plan to destroy the bacteria and the golem using various methods, including a gas container and alcohol. They realize that alcohol, specifically, is effective at killing the bacteria, leading to the final showdown.

Earl and the others manage to blow up the golem with gasoline and alcohol, causing it to disintegrate. Some debris fall into the police car, still moving, but Earl discovers alcohol is the bacteria’s Achilles' heel, sealing their victory.

The group cleans their environment with alcohol, and Earl promises not to rebuild the golem. Jake and Amanda share a tender moment, celebrating their survival with a bottle of wine, while still wary of any potential remnants of the alien threat.

As the debris is packed away, some fragments still move slightly, hinting that the threat may not be entirely gone. Earl and the others prepare to seal all remaining debris, wary that the alien bacteria might still pose a danger.
