While Olive is engrossed in a romance novel and snacking on a gift box of candy sent by Bluto, Popeye pays her a visit. Completely absorbed, she doesn’t see him, so he pretends to be ill to capture her attention. The physicians are baffled, unable to determine any remedy, leading to a humorous dead‑end as Popeye’s ruse continues.
