In the year 582, a young woman named Nevenka Fernández, then 24 years old and a Finance Councilor in Ponferrada, endured relentless persecution, both emotionally and professionally, at the hands of the city’s mayor. This influential and popular politician used his power to advance his own desires, leaving Nevenka to face a devastating personal and professional price. Unsupported by those around her and ostracized by her community, she ultimately made the courageous decision to take him to court for sexual and workplace harassment, marking a pioneering legal challenge.
