Kumara [Dasun Pathirana] works as an orderly at a hospital, a role that quietly grants him access to the morgue and the chance to observe the bodies of young women brought there. One day, the body of Tharuka Wijesinghe [Chamathka Lakmini], a beautiful and desirable actress, arrives, and the sight unsettles him in a way that he cannot easily explain. Unable to resist, Kumara takes a picture and sends it to his friend Ruwan [Isuru Lokuhettiarachchi], who quickly shows up with their other friend, Namal [Pubudu Chathuranga], to view Tharuka’s nude body.
Ruwan wonders aloud if it is possible to have sex with a corpse, a notion that Kumara answers with a calm, unsettling honesty: it is possible. When asked whether he knows this from experience, Kumara confesses that he once raped the body of a 21-year-old girl, a revelation that hangs heavy in the room. Ruwan’s interest shifts rapidly toward the same taboo, and he begins to plan a similar act against Tharuka, prompting Kumara to suggest that he could take a turn afterward. Disgusted, Namal refuses when they urge him to join, trying to keep his distance from the sickening idea.
In the midst of their act of necrophilia, Tharuka suddenly returns to life, though she cannot move, and her eyes widen with terror as Kumara continues what he’s doing. Realizing the danger of discovery, Kumara lets out a desperate scream, and the others rush into the room to confront the broken situation.
The men face two stark choices: report Tharuka’s revival and risk rape charges, since there could be no consent under such circumstances, or murder her to cover up their crime. Kumara and Ruwan lean toward concealment, but Namal takes another path—he dresses Tharuka and pledges to keep her safe, urging the others to own up and to take responsibility for what their desires have driven them to do. The argument intensifies, and when Namal tries to leave the morgue, he discovers the doors are locked. Realizing the claustrophobic trap they’re in, Namal suddenly begins shouting for help.
In a frantic attempt to silence him, Ruwan strikes, and Namal’s head splits open on the mortuary floor. Kumara hurries to mop up the blood, while Ruwan drags the barely conscious Namal into an inner room and starts fabricating a story to cover their tracks. He takes Namal’s wallet, promising to return it, and pleads with him to say that a gang of thieves attacked him and stole the wallet. Namal’s condition worsens quickly, and CPR proves futile as he dies, a fate witnessed by none of the others at that moment.
With Namal out of the way, Ruwan resolves to kill Tharuka, insisting that Kumara has become an accessory to Namal’s death and that Tharuka would never stay silent if left alive. While Ruwan goes outside to find a garbage bin for Namal’s body, Tharuka pleads with Kumara, warning that Ruwan has lied about his supposed attempts to save Namal and appealing to Kumara’s better nature. She promises to stay quiet if he lets her go, but she is blunt about the danger of letting Ruwan go free. Kumara silences her with plaster over her mouth, yet her words leave him unsettled and uncertain about Ruwan’s real intentions.
Ruwan returns and, determined to erase any trace, decides to smother Tharuka with bunched-up sheets so that no marks remain on her body. He makes Kumara hold one end of the sheet so they both bear responsibility, pressuring him to take part in the act until Tharuka goes limp. Believing she is dead, Ruwan disposes of the evidence, while Kumara quietly cleans Tharuka’s body and covers her in a white sheet. Alone with her, Kumara whispers for Tharuka to pretend to be dead, revealing that he has faked the murder.
As they prepare to leave, Ruwan realizes he left his credit card in the morgue. Kumara tries to persuade him to leave it be and retrieve it the next day, but Ruwan insists on taking it. When he opens the door, he sees Tharuka putting on a hospital gown, and the entire facade threatens to crumble around them.
Furious, Ruwan assaults Kumara again, accusing him of conspiring to pin everything on him. As Ruwan beats Kumara, Tharuka quietly sneaks up from behind and stabs Ruwan twice, fatally wounding him in the neck. Kumara breaks down, insisting that Ruwan had already promised they would leave. Silent, Tharuka turns on Kumara and stabs him to death, leaving the morgue in a shaken, blood-spattered silence.
The film ends with Tharuka, blood-streaked and tearful, staring blankly before walking out of the morgue and wandering into the hospital, a haunting image of a survivor who has witnessed too much and must continue on in the wake of violence.
