This was the monks' clever scheme to teach the intruders a lesson while maintaining the monastery's peaceful nature.

For the final water-pot task, the gangsters faced a broken pot they couldn't fill normally. They came up with a creative solution: placing the broken pot directly into the river, allowing water to fill it from below. This adaptability helped them win the contest and secure their temporary stay.

The younger monks grew uneasy having outsiders in their sacred space. As the week went on, they pressured the gangsters to leave, creating tension between the two groups within the monastery.

The gang boss discovered which member had betrayed them to the rival gang. However, despite identifying the snitch, the boss still contacted them to reveal their location at the monastery, putting the group in further danger.

After realizing who had betrayed them, the gang boss deliberately contacted the snitch anyway. This decision revealed their location at the monastery, signaling that danger was closing in on their fragile sanctuary.

Former gang members who had defected to the Chunno gang approached the monastery. These ex-members dug a shallow mass grave and attempted to kill the gangsters they considered traitors, threatening the monks' peaceful sanctuary with sudden brutal violence.

The timeline earlier revealed a snitch was among the gangsters and that the gang boss contacted them, exposing their location.

Despite their earlier conflicts with the gangsters, the monks chose to protect their guests from the violent attack. They orchestrated a rescue, saving the gangsters from the grim fate the ex-members intended and restoring order to the monastery grounds.

After the monks intervened to save the gangsters from the attack, the eldest monk died at the monastery. His death cast a pall over the community and brought both the gangsters and monks together in shared mourning.

After the funeral, the surviving gangsters departed the monastery fundamentally altered by their experience. Months later, they returned to make donations to the monastery in gratitude for the hospitality and the lesson they learned from the monks.

The gangsters won three of the five contests against the monks, earning them permission to stay at the monastery for a week. Their victory came through a combination of adaptability, creativity (like the water pot solution), and the series of clever schemes the monks designed to test them.
